Boston Pizza started in Edmonton, Alberta in 1964 when Gus Agioritis opened his Boston Pizza and Spaghetti House. Impressed with the concept, Jim Treliving opened the first Franchise in Penticton, B.C. In 1983 he and partner George Melville acquired the chain of 44 restaurants. With over 375 restaurants in Canada including locations in ten provinces and two territories, Jim and George have grown Boston Pizza into the largest casual dining brand in Canada.

BOSTON PIZZA ROYALTIES INCOME FUND

The Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund, BPF.UN, began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on July 17, 2002. Monthly distributions to unitholders began immediately and have been increased a total of sixteen times since the IPO.
